Shared Bins
All organisations
WRAP considers that the main types of shared provision or collection relate to:
Shared bins: usually an informal arrangement between two or more businesses.
Shared collection: usually the waste and recycling collection is organised by a facility management company (or landlord) and the fee for waste and recycling removal from the premises by a caretaker/ cleaner is included as part of the lease, rent or service charge.
Shared facility: usually a waste facility provided in a central location for businesses to use, where waste and recycling is taken by employees to the bins, or a collection area. This is more commonly used in industrial estates, with the fee included as part of the lease, rent or service charge.
